What is Rooted?
Rooted is a 10-week discipleship experience and a catalyst for life-change. It provokes questions and conversations and group experiences designed to give you a glimpse of your story in God’s story.
How do I register and what does it cost?
Registration is easy! Once registration is open for the upcoming session, click the ‘Register’ button and follow the steps. The cost is $50 per person to go through the course, which includes all sessions, your workbook and other materials, food and the Celebration dinner at the end of the 10 weeks. This breaks down to just $5 a week.
Are there scholarships available?
We believe that Rooted is a life-changing experience and we want everyone to participate! We understand that the Rooted registration fee may be a burden for some and we are happy to provide scholarships. Click the button below to apply for a scholarship.
Is there childcare available?
Childcare is available for children birth – 5th grade at no additional cost. During your registration, please make sure you answer the questions about your childcare needs.
Where will my Rooted group meet?
All of our Rooted groups meet in different rooms on campus at Discovery. The launch gathering and the celebration dinner will both be held in the Discovery Worship Center.
What if I cannot make all ten weeks?
We understand that Rooted is a large time commitment, but we believe it is worth it to invest in the entire process. If you know you are going to miss more than 2 meetings, we ask that you wait until the next session of Rooted. The 10 weeks are a cumulative experience, and so we ask that every participant commit to honor each other with being at every meeting.
How will my Rooted group be chosen?
Our Rooted team will prayerfully place participants into groups of about 10-14 people. We group by age, marital status, and life stage. We form groups of married couples, singles, women, men, and young adults. These groups ultimately depend upon the demographic of those who registered. A substantial amount of prayer and thoughtfulness goes into creating groups which we think will provide the best experience for all people who attend. While we do our best to honor requests when possible, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate all friend or leader requests.
What is the difference between Rooted and Connect Groups?
Rooted is the on-ramp to Connect Groups. Your Rooted group at the end of the 10 weeks becomes your Connect Group. Rooted is the best pathway to getting involved in a Connect Group. For those already in Connect Groups, ask us about the process for your Connect Group to experience Rooted!
Can I facilitate a Rooted group?
Rooted Facilitators get a front row seat to something remarkable – God transforming lives. Rooted leaders must have graduated from Rooted and agree to our leadership commitment.
