Learning and growing in Biblical community is paramount.
While we encourage everyone to check out Community Groups, we also provide studies and classes focused on specific topics practical to living, encouraging people to dig deep into God’s Word. Here’s what we’ve got happening!
Rooted is an experiential model of discipleship that teaches people what it means to be a disciple of Jesus who are ROOTED in the foundational elements of WORSHIP, GENEROSITY, SERVICE, EVANGELISM, PRAYER AND STUDYING GOD’S WORD.
Jesus, Our Perfect Example examines the life of Christ and His example of prayer, obedience, love, and forgiveness as well as many other areas of His life. The author of Called To Be a Keeper, Lori Merrill, helps us take an introspective look at our own lives and how we can be more like Christ. The study teaches about following the example of Christ in our “dailyness” so that God is glorified and others are drawn to Him.
The Journey is a 9-month process, with most groups meeting every other week. It is divided into three main segments called, Enlightened, Enabled and Expressing.
Women of all ages and life stages are welcome to join us for this study that will encourage them to see the value of their role in light of God’s word. Women will learn to live out their priorities while carrying out their calling as found in Titus 2:3-5 and Proverbs 31:10-31.
For over two decades Too Busy Not to Pray has stood as a classic on prayer, helping Christians all over the world slow down to draw near to God. During those years, the world certainly hasn’t slowed down. If anything, the pace, intensity and number of distractions have only increased. Brokenness and pain seem to have increased as well, with news of civil war, poverty, broken families and sex-trafficking touching us daily. The urgent need for prayer is clear, but busyness still keeps many of us from finding time to pray. Two truths haven’t changed in all these years: God is the same powerful, just, holy God he’s always been; and true prayer―prayer that changes us and allows us to participate in God’s work in the world―can’t happen on the fly.
You probably know the verse that says, “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good for those who are called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8: 28) Why do bad things happen to good people? How can God take pain and suffering and turn it for our good? As we journey into the lives of others who have experienced suffering and painful circumstances, we see a resounding theme of women who have trusted God in faith and leaned on him for wisdom and guidance through the tough times.
The Bible talks about money more than any other subject in all of scripture, more than any other area of our discipleship! Wouldn’t it stand to reason then, that God has amazing plans to accomplish using each and every one of us as generous stewards of what He has entrusted us with? You bet! Join us for Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University. You will learn to take control of your money, invest for the future, and give like never before. What a great way to start the new year!
